  • Social Media Credentials: When you connect your social media accounts, we store authentication tokens (OAuth tokens) that allow Yazzup to post on your behalf. We never store your social media passwords.
  • Content: The posts, images, and other content you create, schedule, or publish through Yazzup.
  • AI Provider API Keys: If you provide your own API keys for AI services (OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic, etc.), these are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use Yazzup, we may automatically collect:

  • Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the app, such as features used and actions taken.
  • Device Information: Operating system type and version, device type, and app version.
  • Error Reports: If the app encounters an error, we may collect diagnostic information to help us fix the issue.

1.3 Information from Third-Party Services

When you connect social media accounts, we receive limited information from those platforms as permitted by their APIs, such as your profile name, profile picture, and account ID. We only request the minimum permissions needed to provide our services.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Yazzup application
  • Publish and schedule content to your connected social media accounts on your behalf
  • Generate AI-powered content suggestions using your chosen AI provider
  • Send you service-related communications (such as launch notifications if you joined the waitlist)
  • Analyse usage patterns to improve the app experience
  • Diagnose and fix technical issues

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Local-First Architecture

Yazzup is designed with a local-first approach. This means:

  • Your AI API keys are stored exclusively on your local device and are never sent to Yazzup servers
  • Your content drafts and scheduling data are stored locally on your computer
  • Social media OAuth tokens are stored securely on your device using your operating system's credential storage

3.2 Data We Store on Our Servers

We store minimal data on our servers:

  • Your email address (if you signed up for the waitlist or created an account)
  • Anonymous, aggregated usage analytics
  • Error reports and diagnostic data

3.3 Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), secure credential storage, and regular security reviews. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Third-Party AI Services

Yazzup integrates with third-party AI providers to generate content. When you use AI features:

  • Your prompts and content are sent directly from your device to the AI provider you selected (e.g., OpenAI, Google, Anthropic)
  • We do not intercept, store, or process the content of your AI requests on our servers
  • Each AI provider has its own privacy policy and data handling practices — we encourage you to review them
  • You are responsible for the API keys you use and any associated costs from the AI providers

5. Third-Party Social Media Platforms

When you connect social media accounts to Yazzup:

  • We use OAuth 2.0 (or equivalent) for secure authentication — we never see or store your passwords
  • We only request the minimum permissions necessary to post content and retrieve basic profile information
  • You can disconnect any social media account at any time through the Yazzup app or through the third-party platform's settings
  • Each social media platform has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data

6. Google API Services

Yazzup's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically:

  • We only use Google user data for the purposes described in this privacy policy
  • We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve our service, or as required by law
  • We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements
  • We do not allow humans to read Google user data unless we have your explicit consent, it is necessary for security purposes, or it is required by law
